And so the packing has begun...

Yep- this morning we skipped church because of all the snow and bad roads. Since we were home, we decided to get a headstart on packing. Well - headstart?
I dont think that there is such a thing in this case. We will be out of our apartment in 12 days. So this week and next will be crazy with packing, job searching, babies, and moms's surgery. I have to find a rental storage unit for our furniture that is available immediately so we can start moving stuff in right away. With babies and stuff - it will not work to do all of it in one day.
I've done a fair amount today - but have been trying to go through and pick out the stuff that we dont need. I have either put all the stuff on Ebay, Craigslist, or Freecycle. I thought at least someone else might be able to use it. :)
Jalen and I were talking about how it is going to be with Mylie moving with us. Our kitty is not used to other animals let alone the 3 cats and 1 dog that live at my folks. I think we may be in for some cat fights, while they all get used to eachother and figure out thier territory. Kida just minds her own business and ignores the cats. It will be an adventure that is for sure.
I'm not sure why I am taking the time to write this blog- but I probably wont be on as much once we move due to my parent's sucky internet. I best get back to packing.

Relaxing...

So I'm laying on the couch, cuddling in a blanket and enjoying the sweet sound of silence. The boys are at Grandma and Grandpa Ferris' house. I miss them so much when they arent here, but it is really nice to get a break sometimes.
On to other news-
Daniel and I will be moving in with my folks at the end of this month. The babies have run our bank accounts dry and by living with my folks for a little bit, it should cut way down on bills and help us save up to be able to get a decent place of our own. We're looking forward to this, because we feel like this is where God wants us right now. We have been so blessed to have a wonderful family, church family and friends. You guys have been a wonderful support system! We can never thank you enough - we love you!
So starting tomorrow- we will be packing like crazy! Mom has surgery on Thursday and so I'm going to have to recruit help to get everything packed in time. Daniel has now been laid off until Feb. He is going to be applying at some other places to find something in the mean time. I am looking for work too - and would love something that would allow me to be home with the boys, but for now I'm going to do everything that it takes.

I havent done any blogging in a while and someone mentioned it, so I thought I might start one for our family so we can let you in on everything that is happening with everyone.
Right now we are playing with the boys and winding things down as we prepare for bedtime. The boys usually go to bed around 8 or 8:30 which is nice because then Daniel and I get some time to relax.
Right now,Daniel is talking to Brett and making him laugh - it is so cute. He's been laid off for the last 3 weeks and will be going back to work on Monday. The boys will miss thier playtime with Daddy and will just have to play with him all the more in the mornings before he leaves for work.
Brett is lying on the floor studying his daddy. He is talking up a storm himself, babbling away while attempting to stuff his whole hand in his mouth. He is teething - working on his third tooth and has been drooling like a St. Bernard. Brett has also mastered the art of scooting in a circle. I put him on the floor to play with his brother and leave the room for just a second and he has scooted all around. Darrin is getting the hang of it too, but mostly moves when gets worked up and mad. When playing on the floor, the boys usually face each other and talk away - I wonder if this is what people mean by "twin talk". They flash huge smiles and try to grab one another and usually end up holding hands...I need to catch that one on video because it is just so precious.

Right now, Darrin is in his excersaucer yelling at the top of his lungs. He holds one sound out for as long as he can- let me just tell you- it is hilarious. He just figured out that he can do this and must like the sound of it because he does it all the time. He is drooling just as much as his brother and between the two of them, they could be swimming in all of the drool that they produce in a day.

Between Darrin's yelling and Brett's babbling, it sounds like a zoo in here! Daniel and I just sometimes sit back and laugh as we listen to our little babblers. Then we start to think about when they actually learn words and start talking...boy are we in for a treat. My Mom says its payback for all the years that I talked her ear off while on car rides.
Well I best be off, got to have some playtime with the boys before they go to bed...
